Sony Unveils World’s thinnest tablet – Water resistant Xperia Z
Sony has released its water resistant Smartphone Xperia Z at CES 2013 recently. And within a span of few weeks, now it has come up with its ultra-thin tablet. Yes you read it correctly; Sony has announced its latest tablet Xperia Z with 6.9mm, which is thinner than Apple’s iPad Mini. With a weight of 496 grams and 6.9mm thickness, it becomes the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet ever. Apple’s iPad Mini comes in at 7.2mm thickness, the iPad 4 at 9.4mm, and Google’s Nexus 10 at 8.9mm thickness.
Sony Xperia Z Tablet features
Similar to Xperia Z Smartphone, Xperia Z tablet is also a water-resistant device. It has a 10.1-inch screen with a 1920X1200 resolution. Sony has adopted its Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology in this tablet to introduce its users with extreme picture and video qualities on screen. Equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB RAM, Xperia Z seems to be more powerful than its predecessors.
The major connectivity feature of this tablet includes 4G LTE and NFC support. Similar to all other tablets from Sony, Xperia Z also runs of Android platform. It runs on Android Jellybean 4.1 OS and has an 8.1 megapixel rear camera.
